about

This is a cover of a song by The Stillpoint Band. Colin used to work with these guys and they had some great music and put on a ton of great shows in Austin several years ago. Although the group has disbanded for the most part, we keep in touch with them and thought this would be a really great song to cover.

lyrics

I can't let my mind open up that wide
Pressure comes from every side
Can I let my mind open up that wide?
Am I out of things to write?
Here comes the night
Makes me wonder why

Sometimes the moon will set before the night is through
Identically the world's in front of me
Eclipsing from view
Reflections of all of you

I don't want to reflect
What everyone expects
Makes me want to set myself
Shine your light on someone else
Is it fading now?

Sometimes the moon will set before the night is through
Identically even the shadows flee
In the presence of you
Everything's made new

It was there all along
Unaware of your song
It was there inside
Now it's amplified
Ready for the dawn to arrive
Ready for the dawn to arrive
Ready for the sun to arrive
Here comes the light
